LOCAL 4634

The thought of a union came about in 2005 when there was a small contingent of Career Firefighters numbering 4. In early 2006 that number increased to 5 and the decision was made to become members of the IAFF. Due to the small number of personnel we spoke to our neighboring town and brother firefighters of Dudley and were granted permission to attach to there union making us Local 4271-A. We started negotiations and are first union contract was effective July 1,2006. Over the past couple of years our personnel has grown to 8 and we recently filed all the proper paperwork with the IAFF and now have our own local number.
